This advisory explains how some Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients can get lawful permanent resident status (also known as a “green card”) within the United States. Only DACA recipients who fit certain criteria can do this; those criteria will be explained in depth below. Although the focus of this advisory is on DACA recipients, the same possibilities and considerations may apply to Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients.
