Established in 1980, World Relief Chicago (WR-C) has helped resettle over 15,000 refugees from Africa, Central America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Southern Asia, and the former Soviet Union. WR-C has a staff of 29 members who are fluent in 10 languages and originate from countries all around the world. Our team is augmented by the invaluable efforts of volunteers, students, and interns. WR-C proudly and wholeheartedly assists refugees and immigrants on their journey to become fully integrated, self-sufficient, and productive members of the Chicagoland community. WR-C provides wrap-around, holistic services to refugees and immigrants. WR-C's resettlement program includes comprehensive resettlement, case management, and employment services to refugees arriving in Chicago. Immigration Legal Services and citizenship assistance is available to both immigrants and refugees. WR-C also offers adult ESL classes, in-home English tutoring, as well as a wide range of youth and senior programming.
