This training will provide an overview of basic concepts in immigration law. Topics to be covered include family- and employment-based immigration and adjustment of status, lawful permanent residency, employment authorization, grounds of inadmissibility and deportability, temporary protected status, U and T non-immigrant status, asylum and withholding of removal, and naturalization and citizenship.  No prior knowledge of immigration law is required. This training will be led by Claire Thomas, Esq. Director of Training at Safe Passage Project. This course offers 4 CLE credits in professional practice. This course provides transitional credit for newly admitted attorneys and non-transitional credit for experienced attorneys.
